Aaron Martin joins Coventry City

Southampton defender Aaron Martin has agreed to join League One outfit Coventry City on loan until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old, who is not part of Southampton's first-team plans this season, has already spent a period with Crystal Palace this campaign.

A statement on the club's official website confirmed the acquisition: "Coventry City have completed the signing of Southampton central defender Aaron Martin on loan until the end of the 2012-13 season."

Martin could make his debut against Bournemouth on Tuesday.
