Ronald Koeman confirms Saphir Taider deal

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has confirmed a deal to see Inter Milan midfielder Saphir Taider join the Saints in exchange for striker Pablo Osvaldo.

The Algerian midfielder might not be the only Inter player coming to the Premier League, with teammates Ezequiel Schelotto and Hugo Campagnaro also linked with the Saints.

"Taider brings quality and we need that. We need competition in the squad as well and that will be good," the Southampton boss told BBC Radio Solent.

"We are looking for the best for Osvaldo and the best for the club."

The Saints have had a busy transfer window so far after selling key players for big-money moves, with more linked away from the club.
