Northern Ireland international Steven Davis believes that "everyone is happy" with the £800,000 deal to take him from Rangers to Southampton.
Despite Davis agreeing to a three-year contract with the South coast club earlier in July, the clubs have only now agreed upon a fee for the 27-year-old, and Davis thinks that the deal suits all parties involved.
"I think everyone is happy with the conclusion - myself, Rangers and the club," Davis told Southampton's official website. "I am now just looking forward to getting my career started here.
"I've managed to join in a few of the sessions with the lads, so I'm not too far away [from fitness] now. Hopefully within the next week or two I will be back on the pitch, playing my part and making my contribution."
Davis was Rangers' captain last season.
