Report: Clubs monitor Ryan Woods

Shrewsbury Town midfielder Ryan Woods has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for a number of Premier League and Championship clubs.

The 19-year-old, who came through the club's youth system, has stepped into their first team this season, making 16 appearances in the process.

According to Sky Sports News, scouts from a number of higher division clubs have been sent to monitor the midfielder in recent weeks.

Woods signed a new long-term contract with Town in the summer, but it is believed that bids could arrive in January.
