Sheffield Wednesday land Portuguese midfielder Marco Matias

Portuguese attacking midfielder Marco Matias has joined Championship side Sheffield Wednesday for an undisclosed fee.

The 26-year-old links up with the Owls on a four-year deal from Nacional, subject to international clearance.

Matias, who boasts Europa League experience with former club Guimaraes, scored 20 goals in 36 Primeira Liga games last season to help Nacional on their way to a seventh-place finish.

Wednesday have already brought in three other players this summer - Jack Hunt, Vincent Sasso and Darryl Lachman.
