Wednesday in for Stevie May

Sheffield Wednesday have become the latest Championship club to express an interest in signing St Johnstone forward Stevie May.

The Owls join nearby Rotherham United in pursuing the 21-year-old, who scored 27 goals in Scotland last season.

"Sheffield Wednesday have officially contacted the club," St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright told BBC Scotland. "The board will deal with that."

The Saints have offered May a new contract as his current deal expires at the end of the coming season, but it looks like he will be on his way this summer.
