Tom Lees signs Sheffield Wednesday contract extension

Tom Lees signs a two-year contract extension with Sheffield Wednesday, committing to the club until 2019.

Sheffield Wednesday have agreed a two-year contract extension with centre-back Tom Lees.

The 24-year-old signed a three-year contract with the Owls last summer, but after an impressive first season he has extended his stay until 2019.

He made 48 appearances in all competitions in his debut season for Wednesday, helping the South Yorkshire side to the fourth-best defensive record in the Championship last term.

Wednesday's 2015-16 campaign begins with a home match against newly-promoted Bristol City a week on Saturday.
