Sheffield Wednesday's Chris Lines to miss three months with groin injury

Lines to miss three months

Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Chris Lines will miss three months after it was revealed that he has suffered a serious groin injury.

Lines acquired the problem in the club's pre-season friendly at Kilmarnock, and manager Dave Jones has revealed that the 26-year-old could be out until November.

Jones said: "Chris is facing eight to 12 weeks out. It's not great but it is a lot better than we thought it was on Saturday."

Lines made 41 appearances for the Owls as they were promoted to the Championship last season.
