Sheffield United 'want to sign Dean Henderson, Kieran Dowell on permanent basis'

Sheff Utd 'want to sign Henderson, Dowell'

Sheffield United will reportedly look to sign Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson and Everton midfielder Kieran Dowell on a permanent basis this summer.

The Yorkshire outfit have earned promotion to the Premier League with second place in the Championship, and Henderson and Dowell have each spent loan spells at Bramall Lane.

Henderson was an ever-present between the sticks, while Dowell contributed two goals from 16 appearances after moving to the Blades in January.

According to the Daily Mail, manager Chris Wilder now wants to sign each player, with United now being restricted in the loan market due to top-flight regulations.

Henderson has already said that he wants to spend at least another campaign with the club, although much could depend on whether Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sees the 22-year-old as a future number one at Old Trafford.
