David Weir names former Manchester United striker Febian Brandy in the starting XI for his first game in charge of Sheffield United this evening.

Former Manchester United striker Febian Brandy is one of four debutantes in the League One curtain-raiser between Sheffield United and Notts County at Bramall Lane this evening.

Brandy signed for the Blades from Walsall this summer and is named in an attacking lineup for the hosts, who also include forwards Chris Porter and Jamie Murphy in their starting XI.

Three close-season arrivals make their Notts bows in a match that features two of the Football League's founding members, as the organisation marks the beginning of its 125th year.

Mark Fotheringham and Danny Haynes are fresh faces in the Magpies midfield, while right-back Mustapha Dumbuya is named alongside new captain Dean Leacock in the visiting defence.

The match is David Weir's first in charge of United.

Sheffield United: Long; Westlake, Williams, Maguire, Doyle; Porter, McDonald, McGinn, Collins; Brandy, Murphy

Notts County: Bialkowski; Dumbuya, Leacock, Liddle, Sheehan; Haynes, Labadie, Fotheringham, Campbell-Ryce; Boucaud; Arquin
