Michael Doyle urges Sheffield United improvement

Sheffield United midfielder Michael Doyle believes that his side need to improve both defensively and in attack.

Sheffield United midfielder Michael Doyle has said that his side need to improve in all departments.

The Blades are currently fourth from bottom in League One, having lost five of their seven league matches so far this season.

"We need to work on everything," he told reporters. "We are not getting results. We are not scoring enough goals, so obviously that's something we need to work on. Defensively also we need to work and need to be more solid."

Looking ahead to United's clash against Preston North End on Saturday, Doyle said: "Preston are strong, physical and well-organised. It is going to be a really difficult game for us.

"We are in a bad phase. We are better than our results have shown."

United have lost their last four league matches.
