Saturday's Championship predictions including Sheffield United vs. Huddersfield

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Saturday's Championship fixtures, including Sheffield United vs. Huddersfield Town.

QPR vs. Barnsley (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Queens Park Rangers will be aiming to continue their impressive start to the Championship season when they host Barnsley on Saturday.

The Rs are third in the table and unbeaten at this early stage, while the Tykes are still finding their feet under new manager Markus Schopp and sit 13th.

We say: Queens Park Rangers 2-1 Barnsley

There is a real feel-good factor at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium at the moment and we expect that to help QPR continue their impressive start to the season. Barnsley have shown they can play attacking football under Markus Schopp so we think they will score, but it will not be enough.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Bournemouth vs. Blackpool (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Bournemouth will be aiming to preserve their unbeaten start to the season in the Championship when they host winless Blackpool on Saturday.

After defeat in the playoffs last season, the Cherries have their eyes set on promotion this time around, while the newly-promoted Tangerines will just be keen to finish above the bottom three.

We say: Bournemouth 3-0 Blackpool

Blackpool will be desperate to get their first three points in the Championship as soon as possible, so a trip to Bournemouth certainly would not have been the game they would have picked this weekend. The Cherries are likely to have far too much for their visitors and should run out comfortable winners.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Blackburn vs. West Brom (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Blackburn Rovers and West Bromwich Albion square off at Ewood Park on Saturday afternoon having both recorded seven points from their first three Championship fixtures.

While Rovers edged out Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night, the Baggies thrashed potential promotion rivals Sheffield United by a 4-0 scoreline.

We say: Blackburn Rovers 1-2 West Bromwich Albion

With Blackburn playing with confidence and character right now, this fixture could prove to be closer than some people are anticipating. Nevertheless, we cannot back against the Baggies right now, who should be strong enough at both ends of the pitch to edge this game.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Cardiff vs. Millwall (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Cardiff City will be aiming to maintain their unbeaten start to the 2021-22 campaign when they take on Millwall in South Wales on Saturday afternoon.

The Bluebirds are unbeaten in four games in all competitions this term and are ninth after three Championship games, while Millwall find themselves three points worse off in 19th.

We say: Cardiff City 1-1 Millwall

These sides have drawn four of the six matches that they have played in the league this season, while the last seven Championship meetings between them have finished all square.

That includes a couple of 1-1 draws last season, a scoreline that we can see being matched at the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Coventry vs. Reading (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Coventry City will look to build on an encouraging start to the season when they host Reading in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

The Sky Blues have two wins from their first three games and sit in eighth, while the Royals are 17th on three points.

We say: Coventry City 1-1 Reading

A difficult one to call this, as Reading have had no problems scoring goals this season but Coventry look tight defensively. The Sky Blues will be eager to get another win under their belts on home turf, but we think it will end level.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Derby vs. Middlesbrough (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Derby County manager Wayne Rooney pictured on August 7, 2021© Reuters

Derby County and Middlesbrough square off at Pride Park on Saturday afternoon on the back of mixed starts to the new Championship campaign.

Although the clubs endured mixed fortunes in midweek, they head into this encounter having claimed four points from three matches.

We say: Derby County 1-1 Middlesbrough

For the large part of their opening three matches, Derby have looked solid at the back. However, despite improving in confidence, we do not feel that the Rams will have enough in the tank to prevent Middlesbrough from earning a share of the spoils in a low-scoring game.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Fulham vs. Hull City (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Fulham play host to Hull City on Saturday afternoon having set the standard in their opening three Championship fixtures.

While the Cottagers head into this game on the back of successive victories, the Tigers travel to Craven Cottage having suffered two defeats in a row.

We say: Fulham 3-0 Hull City

This game has one-way traffic written all over it. While Hull will feel that they can play with a sense of freedom in West London, Fulham will be difficult to stop in their current form.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Luton vs. Birmingham (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Both Luton Town and Birmingham City will be aiming to build on early signs of promise in the Championship when they meet on Saturday afternoon.

After three games of the season, the Hatters are seventh in the table on six points and the Blues are 14th with four points.

We say: Luton Town 0-0 Birmingham City

These are two evenly-matched sides, meaning we are struggling to pick a winner here. Both teams have well-drilled defences and have been prone to lacking attacking spark, so we think this one will end goalless.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Preston vs. Peterborough (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Preston North End will be looking to get off the mark with their first points of the Championship season when they welcome Peterborough United to Deepdale on Saturday afternoon.

The Lilywhites have lost all three matches so far this season and are bottom of the division, while Peterborough are four points better off after a positive return to the division.

We say: Preston North End 2-1 Peterborough United

Peterborough can be pleased with their results over the past week, even if they should have held on for victory against Cardiff last time out.

Preston's start to 2021-22 has been pretty dreadful, on the other hand, but Peterborough are not the best of travellers, and we can see the hosts finally getting off the mark here.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Sheff Utd vs. Huddersfield (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United and Huddersfield Town meet for the 100th time in all competitions this weekend, with both teams looking to climb up the Championship table.

The Blades are winless in three since dropping out of the Premier League, while Huddersfield got off the mark with their first victory in midweek.

We say: Sheffield United 1-0 Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield will feel a lot better about themselves after picking up a first league win of the season last time out, whereas United enter this game completely deflated.

The Blades have no time to mope, though, and we can see Jokanovic's charges grinding out a narrow win here - possibly through a late goal - to begin their ascent up the table.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Stoke vs. Nott'm Forest (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Nottingham Forest manager Chris Hughton gives instructions to his players on August 8, 2021© Reuters

Stoke City play host to Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon looking to extend their unbeaten start in the Championship to four matches.

Meanwhile, Forest have suffered three successive 2-1 defeats, a run of results which has left them as one of two teams who are yet to record a single point.

We say: Stoke City 2-1 Nottingham Forest

Despite their contrasting starts to the season, we feel that this contest will be competitive throughout the 90 minutes. That said, Forest may find it hard to shake off the feeling of narrow defeats, and they could succumb in another close game here.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.
