Sevilla have moved up to eighth in La Liga with a win over RCD Mallorca tonight.
It was the hosts who started the match brightest, with Jesus Navas in particular causing problems for the visiting defence.
Not even Navas could break the deadlock in the first 45, but Sevilla didn't have to wait long before opening the scoring in the second half, with Alvaro Negredo getting on the end of a Jose Antonio Reyes cross to give his side the lead.
It took just over ten minutes for the hosts to double their lead, this time Manu sliding the ball past Dudu Aouate having been found by Navas.
Navas himself got Sevilla's third just five minutes later when he got on to the end of Reyes's pinpoint cross.
Tomer Hemed got a goal back for the Islanders with 15 minutes left when he converted a cross from Pablo Caceres, but there was to be no dramatic comeback as Sevilla comfortably saw the rest of the match out.
The result lifts Sevilla up a place to eighth in the table, five points behind fourth-placed Malaga, while Mallorca remain 13th.
