Serbia, Scotland subject to pitch inspection

A pitch inspection will take place at 6pm UK time to determine whether the World Cup qualifier between Serbia and Scotland will go ahead on Tuesday.

The Group A clash had been set for a 7.30pm start in the city of Novi Sad, but heavy snow in the area has placed the match into severe doubt.

The snow has started to ease in the past few hours, but it remains to be seen whether the pitch can be restored in time for the European clash.

Gordon Strachan's side currently sit bottom of the group with just two points.
