Makail-Smith pulls out of Scotland squad

Craig Makail-Smith has left the Scotland squad ahead of their Euro 2012 qualifier on Tuesday with Lithuania because of back injury.

The 27-year-old failed to overcome the problem before Scotland's 2-2 draw with the Czech Republic yesterday and has now returned to Brighton & Hove Albion for treatment.

The omission of Makail-Smith has left manager Craig Levein with only one recognisable striker for the Lithuania match in Blackburn Rovers' David Goodwillie.

Kenny Miller, who started the Czech Republic encounter, is suspended.
