Neil Lennon praises "slick" Scotland

Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon credits Gordon Strachan for bringing confidence back to the Scotland national team.

Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon has praised Gordon Strachan for rejuvenating the Scotland national team.

The Tartan Army have enjoyed a resurgence under Strachan since he took charge last year, with the side earning plenty of plaudits for their new brand of positive football.

Ahead of tonight's friendly against England at Celtic Park, Lennon believes that the 57-year-old has brought a confidence back to the players and fans that has been seldom seen during the past two decades.

"I've watched Gordon's team evolve over the last couple of years and they're very slick," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "There's more confidence with the Scotland fans now than there's been for the past 20 years."

Scotland head into their match with England on the back of a three-game unbeaten run in all competitions.
