Half-Time Report: Jordan Rhodes bags brace for Scotland

Jordan Rhodes has put Scotland in a commanding position at the break in Luxembourg by bagging a first-half brace.

The Blackburn Rovers striker pounced in the area after 10 minutes, profiting from some poor goalkeeping after strong work down the wing from Paul Dixon.

Rhodes used his predatory instincts to tap home his second 10 minutes later after Steven Naismith saw his initial effort saved.

Kenny Miller came close to a third before the break but was crowded out by a flock of home defenders.

Luxembourg did little to trouble Matt Gilks in the Scottish goal, leaving Billy Stark's side in total command at the interval.
