Darren Fletcher ruled out of Liechtenstein qualifier

Fletcher ruled out of Liechtenstein clash

Scotland captain Darren Fletcher has been ruled out of Saturday's Euro 2012 qualifier with Liechtenstein in Vaduz due to tonsillitis.

However, the 27-year-old could be fit to face Spain on Tuesday.

Scottish medical staff will continue to monitor the Manchester United player and will make a decision before their match against the World Cup winners.

Meanwhile, James McArthur has been called into Craig Levein's squad as a replacement for the injured Robert Snodgrass, while Cardiff City striker Kenny Miller remains a doubt for the Liechtenstein clash.
