Matija Nastasic joins Schalke 04 on permanent deal

Schalke 04 have confirmed that defender Matija Nastasic will remain at the club on a permanent deal.

The Serbian international joined the Bundesliga side from Manchester City on loan in January.

Nastasic, 21, has made nine appearances for Schalke during his time at the Veltins-Arena.

Schalke were beaten by Real Madrid in the last 16 of the Champions League last night despite earning a 4-3 win in the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu.
