Team News: Kevin-Prince Boateng drops out of Schalke 04 squad

Kevin-Prince Boateng has missed out on a place in the Schalke 04 squad for the Bundesliga meeting with Mainz 05 in Gelsenkirchen.

The Ghanaian midfielder was taken off in the second half of the Champions League defeat to Chelsea in midweek, reportedly due to injury, and his absence opens up a place for Max Meyer.

Brazilian central defender Felipe Santana also drops out of the squad, but there is a recall for Christian Fuchs at the back.

Yunus Malli is forced to settle for a place on the Mainz bench as Sami Allagui returns to the side to provide support for Shinji Okazaki.
