Schalke 04 confirm that Julian Draxler returned to training on Wednesday.

Schalke 04 winger Julian Draxler has returned to training just three days after being substituted with an injury.

Draxler was taken off the pitch after taking a blow to the ankle in Schalke's 3-3 draw against Hamburger SV, but the club have confirmed that he was able to undertake a light training session.

"Running session for Draxler on Wednesday!" the club posted on Twitter, along with an accompanying photograph.

The winger has been subject of intense speculation over the summer.
