Half-Time Report: Hamburger SV heading for the drop as they stay level with Schalke 04

Hamburger SV and Schalke 04 are goalless at half time in the Bundesliga, in a result which would see Hamburger relegated.

Hamburger SV are on the verge of relegation from the Bundesliga after a goalless first half with Schalke 04.

The home side looked nervous throughout and had to wait until the half-hour mark to create their first meaningful chance.

However, Artjoms Rudnevs miscued his shot from the edge of the box after he was found by a neat pass from Marcelo Diaz.

Schalke finished the half as the stronger side but wasted a glorious chance to take the lead, as Jefferson Farfan's cross was flicked to Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, but he volleyed wide from 10 yards out.

As it stands, Hamburger will finish 17th in the Bundesliga table.
