Preview: Sassuolo vs. AC Milan

Sassuolo vs. Milan

AC Milan will be looking to continue their fine start to the year when they visit struggling Sassuolo in Serie A this weekend.

The Rossoneri claimed a 3-0 victory over Atalanta in their first match of 2014, to end a run of three games without a win.

Milan currently sit in 11th place in the table and will be desperate to secure a spot in Europe next season.

They are a massive 27 points behind leaders Juventus, after a poor first half to the season, that saw them lose six games in the league.

Their opponents Sassuolo have struggled since winning promotion from Serie B last season, and sit 18th in the table, having earned 14 points from their first 18 games.

The hosts have only won three of their Serie A fixtures this season, and are on a run of four successive defeats.

Keisuke Honda is available to make his debut for AC Milan and Mario Balotelli should return to the starting lineup after suffering from flu last weekend. Riccardo Montolivo could miss out again with a thigh injury, while Sulley Muntari is available for selection after completing a suspension.

Francesco Acerbi is banned for Sassuolo after failing a doping test, while Alberto Aladje and Emanuele Terranova are doubtful after recent injuries. Recent form
