Lucas Moura in talks over Sao Paulo return?

Tottenham Hotspur forward Lucas Moura is reportedly in talks over a return to Sao Paulo.

The Brazilian, who is under contract until June 2024, has only started two games for Tottenham this season, and both of those took place in the Champions League.

Although a calf injury has also affected his playing time, Moura has fallen down the pecking order at Tottenham, with Spurs boss Antonio Conte preferring to utilise the likes of Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski.

As he considers his future in North London, the Brazilian publication LANCE claims that discussions are taking place with the 30-year-old and his boyhood club, Sao Paulo, about a potential move.

Moura played for the Brazilian side between 2010 and 2012, scoring 22 goals and providing 19 assists in 86 appearances across all competitions.

Although Moura is interested in a return, it is currently unclear whether a move in January would be possible, as Tottenham would likely have to bring in a replacement before sanctioning a departure.
