Agard grabs winner for Rotherham United

Championship newcomers Rotherham United have beaten Nottingham Forest 1-0 this evening.

Kieran Agard scored the only goal of the game in the second half when he raced onto a through to fire low past Karl Darlow on 65 minutes.

Simon Cox's appeals for an early penalty were waved away after he went down under a challenge from goalkeeper Adam Collin.

The Millers carved out a number of decent openings in the first half, but their best came immediately after the restart when Agard dummied Alex Revell's cut-back for Ryan Hall, but his well-struck effort went the wrong side of the post.

With the home side searching for a goal, they finally had one thanks to the pace of Agard before Stephen McLaughlin nearly evened things up 10 minutes later when he smashed the crossbar.
