Roma turn down Barcelona bid for Marquinhos?

Roma have reportedly turned down an approach from Barcelona for their Brazilian centre-back Marquinhos.

The 18-year-old, who arrived in the Italian capital from Corinthians in the summer, has become a prized asset after impressing in his first season in Serie A.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Blaugrana made a €25m (£21.6m) bid for the defender, but have been told that he is not for sale.

Marquinhos - a reserve for the Brazil Olympic squad - is also believed to be of interest to Manchester City.
