Team News: N'Golo Kante fails to make Chelsea squad ahead of Roma trip

Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante has failed to make the matchday squad ahead of their Champions League encounter away to Roma on Tuesday night.

The 26-year-old has been sidelined since the international break when he suffered a hamstring injury while on France duty.

Antonio Conte has opted to make one change to his starting XI as Gary Cahill starts at centre-back while Cesar Azpilicueta takes Davide Zappacosta's place at right wing-back.

The Giallorossi, meanwhile, make a few alterations from the reverse fixture a few weeks ago as Alessandro Florenzi, Daniele de Rossi and Stephan El Shaarawy start.

Chelsea currently lead Group C with seven points, two ahead of second-placed Roma.
