Robbie Keane doubtful for Austria clash

A calf injury could rule Robbie Keane out of the Republic of Ireland's match against Austria on Tuesday night.

The problem forced the LA Galaxy striker to limp off during the second half of Friday evening's 0-0 draw in Sweden.

He has since undergone a scan to determine the extent of the damage, but the results are yet to be received.

Despite the doubt surrounding Keane's availability, coach Giovanni Trapattoni has reportedly expressed his confidence that he will be able to select his captain for the encounter at the Aviva Stadium.
