Paul McShane called up as Kevin Foley replacement

Hull City's Paul McShane is called up to the Republic of Ireland Euro 2012 squad following Kevin Foley's exclusion with a hamstring injury.

The Republic of Ireland have confirmed that Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Kevin Foley has been ruled out of the national side's final Euro 2012 squad due to a hamstring injury.

Hull City'a Paul McShane will enter the fray in order to make up the numbers in Ireland's defence.

Aston Villa goalkeeper Shay Given has been named in the 23-man squad, despite initial fears over the former Manchester City player's fitness.

Ireland have also confirmed the inclusion of Paul Green, who was called up following Keith Fahey's withdrawal.

Defenders: Richard Dunne, John O'Shea, Sean St Ledger, Darren O'Dea, Stephen Ward, Stephen Kelly, Paul McShane
