Real Madrid's Raphael Varane ignoring rumours of Chelsea move

Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane has insisted that he is not paying any attention to rumours linking him with a move to Chelsea.

The 21-year-old has reportedly been targeted by Jose Mourinho as a replacement for Paris Saint-Germain-bound David Luiz.

However, Varane has claimed that transfer speculation is far from his mind as his native France prepare to open their World Cup campaign in Brazil in a few weeks' time.

"Right now, I'm not thinking about [the Chelsea rumours], we have the World Cup ahead of us," Varane told Telefoot.

"We have a young, motivated team that can do great things and has no limits. I love the national team and contribute everything I have to them."

France will face Switzerland, Ecuador and Honduras in Group E.
