Francesco Totti: "I have offers from important clubs"

Roma captain Francesco Totti insists that he wants to finish his career with the Giallorossi despite receiving a string of offers to leave the Olimpico.

Roma captain Francesco Totti has revealed that he has received a number of offers from foreign clubs to leave the Olimpico this summer.

The 36-year-old has spent his entire career with Roma, playing more than 500 games across 21 seasons for the Giallorossi.

Despite admitting interest in accepting a lucrative move abroad in the past, Totti has insisted that he wants to stay with Roma next season and end his career in the Eternal City.

He told France Football: "Currently I have offers from important clubs, but not Italian ones. If I leave Roma it would be abroad and not for an Italian club.

"But, I'll become old here with the same jersey. I've been close to Real Madrid in 2004. I wanted a big team to win and at that time Roma's management wasn't able to guarantee me what I wanted.

"But at the end the heart decided to remain. If I had gone to Real Madrid I would have won three Champions Leagues, two Golden Balls and many other things. But, I prefer what I have done."

Totti has won two Coppa Italias and a Serie A title with Roma and was also part of Italy's World Cup winning squad in 2006.
