Report: Raul wants Xavi in Qatar

A report claims that former Real Madrid forward Raul wants Barcelona midfielder Xavi to join him in Qatar this summer.

Former Real Madrid forward Raul is reportedly attempting to convince Barcelona midfielder Xavi to join him in Qatar this summer.

Raul, who is one of Spain's most decorated players, currently represents Al Sadd in Qatar after making the move from German football in 2012.

Xavi has previously revealed that he wants to retire at the Camp Nou, but it is believed that the Spanish international will consider his options at the end of the season.

According to AS, Raul is keen for his former Spain teammate to join him in the summer, but a number of MLS teams are also believed to be in the running.

Xavi is expected to step into coaching when he eventually hangs up his boots.
