Real Madrid plan Micah Richards swoop

Real Madrid are reportedly planning a summer swoop for Manchester City defender Micah Richards.

Los Blancos coach Jose Mourinho tried to sign the 23-year-old during his time at Chelsea.

Mourinho is now expected to try again at the end of the season following rumours that the full-back has grown frustrated under manager Roberto Mancini's rotation policy, according to the Daily Mail.

However, Madrid's plans are likely to be made more difficult after Richards signed a new long-term deal at the Etihad Stadium earlier in the season.
