Real Madrid legend Raul reveals Barcelona, Juventus offers

Former Real Madrid striker Raul has revealed that he rejected moves to Barcelona twice during his career.

The 35-year-old was on Los Blancos' books from 1994 until 2010 before moving to German club Schalke. "There was interest from Barcelona twice, but as a Madridista I would not play there," he told the World Soccer magazine.

"Never. Madrid is my city. I was born there, my family, my brother and my sister, my friends, they are all in Madrid.

"Juventus made me an interesting offer three times, but I turned them down as I did not want to move to Turin."

Raul left Schalke for Al Sadd in 2012.
