Paul Pogba to Real Madrid 'depends on Gareth Bale'

Pogba to Madrid 'depends on Bale'

Real Madrid must reportedly part ways with Gareth Bale before they can press on with their attempt to sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

Zinedine Zidane acknowledged at the weekend that the Spanish giants were attempting to offload Bale, suggesting that an exit for the Wales international was not far away from completion.

According to AS, the desire to part ways with the 29-year-old stems from Real being unable to make another major addition until a departure is finalised.

The report claims that Pogba would effectively inherit Bale's wages at the Bernabeu, with Real also having to shell out a transfer fee somewhere in the region of £150m.

Real are also attempting to sell James Rodriguez, although it appears that clubs are currently against paying €50m (£44.98m) for the Colombian attacker.
