Casemiro 'never considered' Real Madrid exit

Brazilian midfielder Casemiro insists that he 'never considered' leaving Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.

Casemiro has insisted that he 'never considered' leaving Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.

The Brazilian midfielder rejoined Real Madrid from Porto last summer and made 34 appearances in all competitions last season, including 11 in Los Blancos' Champions League triumph.

It has been claimed that a number of clubs were interested in signing the 24-year-old before the start of the 2016-17 campaign, but Casemiro has revealed that leaving the Bernabeu never entered his mind.

"[I was thinking] I never want to leave here," Casemiro told Marca. "My family and I are so happy in Madrid and at this club that for me it is impossible to think about another team or place, however much money is behind it."

Casemiro initially moved to Real Madrid from Santos in 2013.
