Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has said that he is fed up with being compared to Barcelona's Lionel Messi but believes he is the better player.
Ronaldo and Messi have often been compared to one another and are touted as the two best footballers in the world at the moment. The Portugal international won La Liga with Real Madrid this season while the Argentine has the chance to win the Copa del Rey with the Catalan outfit on Friday.
Despite insisting that he is getting bored of the talk about himself and Messi, Ronaldo feels that he is the superior of the two.
"Sometimes it makes me tired," Ronaldo told CNN.
"For him too because they compare us together all the time. You cannot compare a Ferrari with a Porsche because it's a different engine. You cannot compare them. He does the best things for Barcelona, I do the best things for Madrid, so everyone says, it's incredible. Just for him and for me because we beat our own record, so it's amazing.
"I think we push each other sometimes in the competition, this is why the competition is so high. This is why Madrid and Barcelona are the best teams in the world because everyone pushes each other. It's not about who is better. I just don't like to be compared with anybody.
"Some people say I'm better, other people say it's him, but at the end of the day, they're going to decide who is the best player at the moment, which I think is me."
Ronaldo scored 46 goals in La Liga this season, while Messi bettered that total with 50 in the Spanish top flight.
