Real Madrid moved six points clear at the top of the La Liga table with a 3-0 win at Sporting Gijon.
Jose Mourinho's side thought they were ahead after 32 minutes, but Gonzalo Higuain's strike was ruled out for offside.
However, Madrid did take the lead two minutes later when Angel Di Maria found a way past Gijon goalkeeper Juan Pablo from the tightest of angles.
The visitors doubled their lead on 65 minutes when Cristiano Ronaldo broke the offside trap before he rounded Pablo to slot in.
The home side's evening got worse with 10 minutes to play when Sebastian Eguren was sent off for a second yellow card.
The away team sealed the win in injury time thanks to Marcelo.
