The 30-year-old has rarely featured in the starting lineup for Real Madrid in recent months, but after impressing on Wednesday night, he believes that he can recapture some of the form that earned him a move to the La Liga champions in 2009 and a regular place in manager Jose Mourinho's team.
Kaka said: "I think I am heading in the right direction. On Wednesday, I showed that the work I have been doing is paying off and I am regaining the confidence of the coach.
"And that's what I have always hoped would happen. I want to gain his trust, play more, and bit by bit, I think things will turn out the way they should."
Kaka has scored 24 goals in 95 matches for Real Madrid.
