Carlo Ancelotti hails "fantastic year"

Carlo Ancelotti wants Real Madrid to stretch their winning run to 20 games before they head off to play in the FIFA Club World Cup.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has praised his team for their record-breaking form this season.

Los Blancos broke a Spanish record of 19 consecutive wins following their 4-0 victory over Ludogorets Razgrad in the Champions League on Tuesday.

"It has been a fantastic year, and we want to round off our La Liga fixtures with a win," BBC Sport quotes Ancelotti as saying.

"With everything the team have done in 2014, I'd give them a high mark out of 10."

Madrid will take on Almeria on Friday evening, before flying to Morocco to play in the FIFA Club World Cup next week.
