Sunday's La Liga predictions including Barcelona vs. Real Madrid

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's La Liga fixtures, including Barcelona vs. Real Madrid.

Betis vs. Mallorca (Sunday, 1.00pm)

Real Betis will try to shake off the disappointment of their European exit in midweek when they face mid-table Mallorca in La Liga at Sunday lunchtime.

Manuel Pellegrini's side lost home and away to Manchester United in the Europa League round of 16, while Mallorca battled out a creditable 1-1 league draw with Real Sociedad last weekend.

We say: Real Betis 2-1 Mallorca

Mallorca have made a habit of gleefully derailing numerous top-six sides this season; Aguirre's scrappers have beaten Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Villarreal (twice) this term.

However, the island side have lost each of their last five away games - a streak Betis may well extend this weekend, but not without a fight from the battling islanders.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Osasuna vs. Villarreal (Sunday, 3.15pm)

Two teams battling for European finishes in La Liga this season will lock horns on Sunday afternoon, with Osasuna welcoming Villarreal to Estadio El Sadar.

Osasuna are currently eighth in the table, boasting 34 points from their 25 league matches this season, while Villarreal sit sixth, four points above their opponents in this weekend's contest.

We say: Osasuna 1-1 Villarreal

Osasuna will certainly be the fresher of the two teams heading into the contest, which should hand them an advantage. Arrasate's side have actually only drawn once at home in the league this season, but we just have a feeling that the points are going to be shared on Sunday afternoon.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Real Sociedad vs. Elche (Sunday, 3.15pm)

Fresh from Thursday's Europa League disappointment, top-four hopefuls Real Sociedad will continue their La Liga campaign at home to bottom-of-the-table Elche on Sunday afternoon.

Real Sociedad were knocked out of the Europa League by Roma on Thursday evening courtesy of a goalless draw in their last-16 second leg in Spain, while relegation-threatened Elche will enter this match off the back of a 1-1 draw with Real Valladolid in the league last Saturday.

We say: Real Sociedad 2-0 Elche

Elche will certainly be the fresher of the two teams for this match, but Real Sociedad will be fired-up to return to winning ways following their European disappointment, and we are finding it difficult to predict anything other than a routine home success in Sunday's encounter.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Getafe vs. Sevilla (Sunday, 5.30pm)

Two teams involved in La Liga's fascinating relegation battle will lock horns on Sunday evening, with Getafe welcoming Sevilla to Coliseum Alfonso Perez for a key encounter.

Getafe are currently 18th in the table, boasting just 26 points from their 25 league games this season, while Sevilla are 13th, two points ahead of their opponents in this weekend's contest.

We say: Getafe 1-1 Sevilla

This is a tough match for Sevilla off the back of a European fixture, particularly as Getafe are not losing too many at the moment despite their position in the table. It would not be a shock to see a home or indeed an away victory, but we just have a feeling that a tight game will finish all square on Sunday night.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Barcelona vs. Real Madrid (Sunday, 8.00pm)

One of the biggest fixtures on the football calendar will take place at Camp Nou on Sunday evening, with La Liga leaders Barcelona welcoming second-placed Real Madrid for El Clasico.

Real Madrid are nine points behind Barcelona in the table ahead of this contest, so a victory for the home side would see them take a huge step towards winning their first La Liga title since 2019.

We say: Barcelona 1-1 Real Madrid

The fact that Barcelona did not have a midweek European fixture should hand them an advantage, but Real Madrid were impressive against Liverpool and will have been boosted by their progression in the tournament.

Ancelotti's side really need to win on Sunday night, but it is tough to back Barcelona to lose at Camp Nou, and we are ultimately expecting a tight and nervy affair to finish with the points being shared.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.
