Reading offer trial to India youth international Uttam Rai?

Reading have reportedly taken India Under-16 international Uttam Rai on trial.

The 16-year-old striker, who is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Indian football, has recently played for the IMG Soccer Academy in the United States.

According to Goal.com, Rai has been offered a trial with Nigel Adkins's Championship outfit.

Rai was offered a six-month contract with Swiss side Grasshopper Zurich in 2009, but he failed to secure a work permit.
