Preview: Reading vs. Norwich City

Reading host Norwich City on Saturday in the Premier League without Alex McCarthy.

Reading host Norwich City on Saturday, with the hosts still looking for their first Premier League win of the season at the 11th attempt.

Reading were pegged back away to Queens Park Rangers on Sunday, but only conceded one goal compared to the 10 that went in their net in the previous two fixtures.

Norwich sit five points above the drop zone in 14th thanks to their 1-0 win against Stoke City at the weekend.

For Reading, impressive goalkeeper Alex McCarthy will miss out through injury, meaning Adam Federici is likely to return to the XI. Brian McDermott has no other injury concerns.

Norwich will be looking to Grant Holt, who scored in both fixtures when both sides were in the Championship two seasons ago. However, they have yet to keep an away clean sheet since the start of last season.

Recent form:

Reading: DLDLD

Norwich: LWDWW

Possible lineups:

Reading: Federici; Gunter, Morrison, Gorkss, Shorey; McCleary, Leigertwood, Tabb, McAnuff; Roberts, Hunt

Norwich: Ruddy; Whittaker, Bassong, Turner, Garrido; Snodgrass, Tettey, Johnson, Pilkington; Hoolahan; Holt

Sports Mole says: 2-2
