Paco Jemez hails in-form Javi Guerra

Rayo Vallecano boss Paco Jemez has paid tribute to the recent form of 33-year-old forward Javi Guerra.

The striker's brace against Granada at the weekend moved the Spaniard onto eight league goals for the season.

"I'm not surprised about the goals he's scored, although his streak is spectacular," Jemez told reporters.

"He has instinct, talent and is a team player because he's the first to run and fight like a dog and make sacrifices. He's a big player for us and the rest [referring to his goals] is an added incentive."

Guerra represented Real Valladolid between 2010 and 2014, before leaving Spain for Cardiff City, where he spent just one season.
