Rangers report 'racial abuse' to police

Rangers have confirmed to police that one of their players was allegedly racially abused during the Old Firm derby on Sunday.

The Scottish outfit confirmed via their Twitter account last night that an incident is believed to have occurred on the day that the Gers' lost 3-0 to rivals Celtic.

The statement said: "The club has been made aware of racial abuse directed at one of our players. We have reported this matter to the police."

Meanwhile, the stricken Glasgow-based outfit are yet to announce a preferred bidder to pull the club out of administration.
