Aaron Ramsey, Kemar Roofe to miss next three Rangers games due to injury

Rangers head coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst expects Aaron Ramsey and Kemar Roofe to miss the next three games due to injury.

Ramsey limped off with a hamstring problem on the stroke of half time in the Scottish Cup semi-final victory over Celtic on Sunday, while Van Bronckhorst has revealed that Roofe picked up a knee injury in the same game.

Both players have been ruled out of Saturday's Premiership clash against Motherwell and they are also set to miss the first leg of their Europa League semi-final against RB Leipzig on Thursday as well as the Old Firm derby on May 1.

Speaking at his press conference on Friday, Van Bronckhorst said: "Ramsey we will hopefully have him back around the Leipzig home game (May 5).

"We also had a problem with Roofe after the game with his knee, for him it is the same out for some weeks and hopefully returns around the Leipzig home match."

The Dutchman added: "The atmosphere in the group is good and we will pick the best team we have for every game. We have injuries added to the list but we have players who are capable and know the task."

Rangers are already having to cope without top scorer Alfredo Morelos, centre-back Filip Helander and midfielder Ianis Hagi for the rest of the season due to respective thigh, foot and knee injuries.

The Gers could move to within three points of Premiership leaders Celtic with victory over Motherwell in the lunchtime kickoff at Fir Park.
