Harry Redknapp "struggling" to bring new players to Queens Park Rangers

Harry Redknapp admits that QPR are "struggling" to secure transfer deals, three days before the deadline.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has admitted that the club are "struggling" to get transfer deals over the line.

The West London outfit have just three days to conclude any business, but Redknapp has suggested that any potential new arrivals are a far way off.

In this morning's press conference, Redknapp also confirmed that the club have not received any offers for Adel Taarabt or Shaun Wright-Phillips, while Leroy Fer is staying put at Loftus Road.

"We're struggling to get anyone in at the moment, it's a really difficult time to do business," Redknapp told reporters. "We can't be letting too many go without strengthening. We need to build on what we've got, not weaken the squad.

"We've not had any offers for Taarabt or Shaun Wright-Phillips. The Leroy Fer stuff is a load of rubbish, he's not going anywhere.

"We want a couple of loans, if we can find them, them we will get them over the line. We're not close on anyone though. Tony Fernandes and Les [Ferdinand] are working really hard with me to try and get a couple of deals done, it's hard though."

QPR are currently second from bottom in the Premier League table.
