Christopher Samba issues an apology to QPR fans via his Twitter account after his errors contributed to their west London derby defeat at Fulham.

Christopher Samba has apologised to Queens Park Rangers fans after two of his mistakes contributed to their 3-2 defeat at Fulham on Monday.

The 29-year-old defender tripped Ashkan Dejagah to concede the penalty from which Dimitar Berbatov opened the scoring, and then gifted the Bulgarian a second a short while later by conceding possession on the edge of his own area.

After the match, which left QPR seven points adrift of Premier League safety, Samba took to Twitter to apologise to the Hoops supporters.

He tweeted: "I'm really sorry I let the side down, really upset with my 1st half performance I can't say sorry enough to all the supporters, won't give up."

Samba moved to Loftus Road from Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala in a club-record £12.5m deal in January.
