Redknapp delighted with Sunderland performance

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has declared that his side's performance against Sunderland today was their best since he took charge at Loftus Road.

The Hoops secured successive victories for the first time this season with a 3-1 win over Sunderland, thanks to goals from Loic Remy, Andros Townsend and Jermaine Jenas.

Redknapp believes that QPR are capable of securing Premier League survival if they maintain that level of performance in the next few weeks.

He told Sky Sports News: "It was a good day for us. Back-to-back wins for the first time in I don't know how long. I thought we started well and conceded a goal against the run of play.

"We didn't feel sorry for ourselves. The crowd were excellent and stayed with us. That was the best I have seen us play. We need to have a run of results like that."

QPR are still bottom of the table on goal difference but are now four points away from Premier League safety.
