QPR boss Chris Ramsey plays down unrest over John Terry racism incident

Ramsey plays down unrest over Terry incident

Queens Park Rangers manager Chris Ramsey does not expect there to be large unrest among the supporters when Chelsea visit on Sunday following John Terry's previous racism incident at Loftus Road.

In October 2011, the Chelsea captain was accused of racially abusing former QPR defender Anton Ferdinand during a Premier League game.

"Fans are fans and it would be odd to think there wouldn't be extra feelings towards that situation," Ramsey said in this morning's press conference.

"Ultimately, John Terry is a player of Chelsea and I am the manager of QPR and as a man and a person I would shake John's hand after the game, as long as there wasn't anything unprofessional on the field during it.

"That episode was uncomfortable for British society, but it's been dealt with and we have to move on."

Anton's brother Rio Ferdinand will miss the fixture due to injury.
